Boston - First Visit

When my friend visited last week we went into Boston for the day, the first time either of us had been there!  It's a cool city, with historic sites, brick roads, and lamp posts peeking out behind modern buildings.  We divided time between history tours, walking around different neighborhoods, visiting Cambridge, and always keeping on the lookout for good food, of course (that chocolate ricotta cannoli was sooo good).  I am going back soon to see more :)

2 Delicious Breakfasts

Breakfast is possibly my favorite meal of the day, and some pretty great ones have come out of our kitchen recently.  At the top, a sweet german apple pancake - very easy and sooo good.  I found the recipe here, but substituted coconut milk for cream, took out the white sugar, and cut down on the butter and brown sugar because I prefer things to be not too sweet.  Second, savory sauteed vegetables topped with a poached egg, parmesan, and basil.  Yuummm.

Walkin Around

One of my really good friends came to visit all the way from WI last week!  We spent a lot of time just relaxing, cooking, and walking around town.  Unfortunately, pretty much all the pictures of us together are on her camera, but here are a couple cool shots of some places close to my home.

I like turning my plants and watching them move back to the light during the week.
